We are a small Saline-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit aimed at making living in the community less difficult and more dignified for persons with dementia. Our mission is to raise awareness, provide education to the community, and to create fun, judgement-free events and spaces for those affected by dementia.
WHAT'S NEW:
DFS is excited to announce the launch of a NEW Memory Cafe! In partnership with Meet Me With Art, and through generous funding from CultureSource and the Ralph C. Wilson Foundation, we are starting the "Meet Me with the Arts" Memory Cafe, which will focus on cultural experiences and the arts. Beginning on Friday, March 27th, this Cafe will meet every other month in 2026, with hopes to move to every month in 2027. Please click HERE for full details.
Dementia Friendly Services aims to:
Educate the community about dementia and how and why to be dementia friendly.
Suggest simple and low-or-no-cost ways that our community, businesses and organizations can be more dementia friendly
Create safe, fun, and judgement-free spaces and events for persons living with dementia
